Simple, not Simpler
The first goal with this concept is to simplify the user interaction. The Existing system for a car jack was engineered almost perfectly. Mechanically speaking its a simple tool that works effectively, but it has a problem: it is confusing and if you have not been taught how to use one it can be unclear, frustrating and even intimidating.
Guidance
Part of the problem with the existing system is that it is unclear how each piece correlates to the others. By color coating pieces that interact with other parts in orange, and touch points in grean, it becomes clear where users should connect parts and where they can safely put their hands.
Aid
Most mechanics and auto repair shops use pneumatic impact wrenches when they change wheels. This is done so that they can ensure a tight fit, but it can also create a problem. Even drivers that have been taught how to change tires often have problems because they can't unscrew the lug-nuts that hold the wheel on the axle. Some people even try to jump on the end of the wrench in desperation. By including an extension arm, Momentum takes advantage of simple physics to generate more torque and loosen those tight bolts.
